I haven’t touched my site in about a week. But I have made some changes since I last updated. First of all I added a spotlight to the page design. I was going to write a full post on this but I never got around to it. I was staring at my site and started thinking that it looked too flat. I love the lighting filter in Photoshop so I took my background graphics and added a spotlight effect to them.
The second major addition is the contact form in the footer. I finally got it in place and working. I ripped the jGrowl functionality out of the Smashing Wordpress theme and plugged it in. Now all my fans can contact me lol! Actually I’m pretty sure I’m going to get twice as much spam through there then real messages.
The last thing I added is my Twitter stream on post pages. I want to add it to the home page as well but I’m not sure where to put it yet.
So what’s next on the to do list: search and archives. I need to do the same php image replacement and rounded corners that I’m doing on the home and post pages. After that I need to start filling up the portfolio sections of the site. I’ve made quite a bit of progress in May. Hopefully I can be close to completion at the end of June.
